The religion has taken thier balls away, now they have no confidence in themselves, so they will settle for anyone that asks.

in the circuit there are literally hundreds of young beautiful jw girls under 30 who are single and anxious to get married.
about two years ago, this one single good looking brother who is about 30 years old and who is an elder married this plain looking sister who is 59 years old.

Actually I was thinking the same thing CG. I'm not knocking age difference, I have no problem with that but when I see the choices available, it just makes no sense. -

About two years ago, this one single good looking brother who is about 30 years old and who is an elder married this plain looking sister who is 59 years old. And she shows that she is in her 50s. She is not rich either. And she is kind of an airhead.
She started telling all the old sisters to not settle for just anyone, but to be aggressive and go after the young brothers. So there is a thing now where old sisters are asking young brothers out on dates.
So far another two young brothers have married sisters who are at least 25 years older than them. And there is one Ministerial Servant who is in his early 30s and is dating a 55 year old sister. It looks serious.
Why is this happening?

Will the resurrected marry/have children?
by davidmitchell ini have just finished reading 'brock talon's' two books.
in one of them, entitled journey to god's house, pub.
he comments on how the wt's pictures of the post-armageddon world do not agree with their doctrines, namely that those who are physically resurrected will not marry/have children.

For years, our publications have said that Jesus’ words about the resurrection and getting married likely refer to the earthly resurrection
However, it seems possible that Jesus had in mind the heavenly resurrection
They are bunch idiots. They have no idea of anything.
They done the same thing with organ transplants, blood fractions, 1878 the date Jesus started ruling in heaven, then change the date to 1914, then they said the generation that was alive in 1914 would see Armageddon, then they change it to overlapping generations.
Complete morons and if JWs want to continue to follow these idiots now that there is so much information that exposes them to complete lunacy, then they deserve what they get.

My thoughts on the RC 2015
by StarTrekAngel inhaving endured three days of dashing attempts at further indoctrination, i feel the need to write up some of the stuff i left with.
it is just good therapy.. right away the change was noticeable in the air.
the assembly hall in la feria, tx still smells like new.

Friday afternoon they interviewed a sister from my hall who has a son that left the JW six years ago. She proclaims to be of the anointed. She suffers from depression and has attempted suicide twice.
And she is going to be one of the Kings who rules over mankind? What amazing qualifications one needs to be a heavenly ruler.

JW's and Violence
by TD inmy wife and i have recently gotten hooked on the history channel's series, vikings.
(my wife is full blooded norwegian....).
to be honest, the show is quite graphic in spots, but certainly no more so than a history book i own of the same time period.. anyhow, we made the mistake of mentioning the show if front of jw's last night and they were all thoroughly shocked that we watch it.. i tried pointing out that big chunks of the ot are not materially different and that even the confrontation between david and goliath would get an 'r' rating if it were visually portrayed in any detail at all.

Have I just missed that? Have they always been this way?
Only since 1914!

would jesus wear a pinky?
That's actually a pretty good point.
(1 John 2:16) . . .the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. . .

Crisis of Consience market price (we are in a bull market)
by NewYork44M ini was considering getting another copy of one of ray's books and was shocked about the market value.
is ray's book worth $1,000?
perhaps, but it is a bit shocking.

Probably the Governing Body bought all the books and now they are reselling them for a profit. You know, they are pretty sly at making a profit on anything they can get their hands on. That's probably why they asked for all the money- to buy all of Ray's books. Those dirty bastards.

Elders, disfellowshipping, & baseball umpires
by sir82 inok bear with me for second on this one..... i was just reading the other day about "pitchf/x", a type of technology that can accurately track whether a pitch in baseball is a ball or a strike.. a couple of analysts went over 6 years of baseball data.. it turns out that umpires are wrong about balls & strikes about 14% of the time.
what they call a "ball" is really a "strike" about 13% of the time, and what they call a "strike" is really a "ball" about 15% of the time.
here is the article.. that's at the major league level.. umpires have to work their way up to the major leagues, just as players do.

DesirousOfChange
A JW friend recently told me that the Elders said JC decisions are never wrong. They are directed by Holy Spirit.
Years back I was told the same thing when this lady committed suicide after she was disfellowshipped. The elder tried to convinced me that the lady would have committed suicide anyway because she committed porneia..

What Would Happen if the Watchtower Loses Their TAX EXEMPT STATUS?
by John Aquila inwould it really affect them?
how would it affect volunteers at any construction project since that work would now be taxable.
any materials they buy would be taxable.

You guys are cracking me up with your descriptions!
TerryWalstrom
The Watchtower and its multiple corporations would have their little white belly turned upward and exposed to ravenous predators
sir82
If there were any hint of that approaching you'd suddenly see more "new light" than an 100,000 candlepower halogen lamp.
The Searcher
Firstly, C.O.'s would lose their "parasite" status

Would it really affect them? How would it affect volunteers at any construction project since that work would now be taxable. Any materials they buy would be taxable. Any property they buy would be taxable by the city as property tax assets. Any contributions such as-money, property, Wills and Trusts, would now be taxable according to the law. How would it affect Circuit Overseers since their work would now be considered taxable? Would they now have to pay salaries and social security to the Circuit Overseers and permanent Bethel workers? The work of regular pioneers could be taxable.
Would this bring them down more than the Lawsuits?
Could they continue?
